The festive season is coming and to kick off the celebrations we are organising an exclusive Oysters and Seafood Extravaganza for Society members and their guests on Saturday December 8th at the stylish Publika Retail Centre in Hartamas Heights.

This  prestigious event will take place in a private area at B.I.G. (Ben's Independent Grocer), Lot No.:UG-1A, LEVEL UG, Publika at 7.00 pm and is organised in conjunction with Southern Rock Seafood and 'Shucked' the country's premier Oyster Bar.

The event will take place at 'Shucked' Oyster Bar which is located inside B.I.G. near the seafood counter.

The evening will feature an exclusive tasting of fresh seafood specially imported for our members from all over the world.

  • Tasmanian Smoked Ocean Trout
  • Salmon Gravadlax
  • Fresh Netherlands Herring

(Served with freshly baked Gourmet Sourdough Bread and your choice of salted or unsalted butter)

  • Tasmanian Prime Oysters
  • Irish Oysters (Donegal Bay)
  • Fines de Claires (Marennes-Oleron, France)
  • Creuses No. 3 (Oosterschelde, Netherlands)

In addition we will serve specially Imported English Native Oysters from:

  • Colchester
  • Jersey
  • Shucked Style Fresh Australian Mussels (a delicious hot dish prepared with lemongrass, ginger and garlic)

To complement your seafood we will be serving (in addition to soft drinks) - should you wish - an exquisite chilled New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc from the Waihopai Valley which expert oenophiles have pronounced an excellent accompaniment to oysters.

During the course of this educational and informative evening, Mr. Josh Green, the Managing Director of Southern Rock Seafood and 'Shucked', will give a talk on the origins and growing of each variety of oyster as we taste them.

The fee for this exclusive event is just RM95.00 per person.

Payment is to be banked into the Society's acccount in advance as usual to The Oxford & Cambridge Society Malaysia, Public Bank Berhad, Account Number: 3130479929.

Members will also be able to order more oysters or choose from a variety of other delectable seafood dishes on their own accounts either for consumption on the evening or for holiday season delivery.

In addition, a stunning selection of over 400 (chilled and ambient) wines is available for purchase from as little as RM36 per bottle - again either for tasting on the evening in conjunction with your seafood experience or future home delivery for the holidays.
