Elly Nowell is an inspiration to those who never made it to the dreaming spires of Oxbridge: she is the A-level student who did to Oxbridge what Oxbridge necessarily does to so many, and rejected a college yet to decide on her application. It had, she regretfully informed it, failed to meet “the standard of the universities I will be considering”.

52nd Oxford & Cambridge Society Malaysia Boat Race Dinner

The highlight of the Society's social calendar, the 52nd Annual Boat Race Dinner was held on May 28th at Kuala Lumpur's Sheraton Imperial Hotel. The dinner was attended by over 100 members and their guests, who enjoyed sumptuous food, stimulating company and elegant surroundings.
