The Oxford & Cambridge Society of Malaysia, in collaboration with Sunway College, is organizing an English Language Event for secondary school students, as a public service to encourage, promote and enhance the use of the English Language in schools.

The programme for the Event is as follows:

1. Talks (30 mins each):
   1. “What It Takes To Enter Oxford & Cambridge University”, by Richard Small (Cantab) & Elizabeth Lee (Cantab)
   2. “Public Speaking Skills”, by Chacko Vadaketh (Cantab) & Farriz Mashudi (Oxon)
   3. “Writing Techniques - Non-Fiction”, by Mark Disney (Oxon) & Jennifer Too (Cantab)


2. Essay writing competition
   

Up to three students from each invited school will participate in a 1-hour English essay competition.

A panel of judges comprising Oxford & Cambridge Society members will adjudicate the short-listed essays.

The Event will be held on June 14 at Sunway College.
