John Kwang-Ming Ang received his M.A. in Chinese art history at the University of Michigan. When studying Japanese in Tokyo he reviewed exhibitions of Chinese art for the "Japan Times". Besides several books and articles on Chinese furniture, he has also written articles on Chinese snuff bottles, Buddhist art, Chinese textile and carpets. He occasionally lectures on Chinese and Southeast Asian textiles at Taiwan's Fu Jen Catholic University. Presently he is a director of Artasia, Fine Asian Antiques and Art Consultancy in Taipei.
