The Oxford & Cambridge Society of Malaysia, in collaboration with Sunway College, once again organised an English Language Event for secondary school students, as a public service to encourage, promote and enhance the use of the English Language in schools.

The programme for the Event was as follows:

1. Talks:
(a) Effective Writing Skills by Mark Disney & Sharon Saw
(b) Oral Communication Skills by Datuk Paddy Bowie & Susanna Checketts
(c) Oxford & Cambridge University Entry Process by Tamara Lim and Alain Yee

2. Essay writing competition:

Up to three students from each invited school participated in the 1-hour English essay competition.

A panel of judges comprising of Oxford & Cambridge Society members, Kuan Chee Choun, Dr Lee Soo Ann, Rafiq Jumabhoy, David Wong, Tan Khoon Tee & Dr David Chin, adjudicated the short-listed essays.
